ASK In a few words
According to the 2001 census the population of Kenilworth is over 23,000.  This is significantly more than it was in January 1965 when our old station closed. The line between Coventry and Leamington Spa runs through the middle of town and is used today by Virgin Trains and various freight companies.

Rebuilding Kenilworth station was proposed in the late 90’s and the Local Transport Plan target was to do this by September 2002. For a variety of reasons the project has slipped.  The main problem at the moment is the capacity of the line.  The rail industry are planning various schemes to relieve this network bottleneck but at the moment none of the proposals include running a service to Kenilworth.

This is despite full support from the local authorities and a large majority of opinion in town.

ASK Where we are
